Paul Nguyen, MD is Genitourinary Disease-Center Leader for Radiation Oncology at the Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women’s Cancer Center and Associate Professor of Radiation Oncology at Harvard Medical School.  He is also the Vice-Chair for Clinical Research.  His clinical expertise is in prostate cancer.  He has published over 250 manuscripts and is a graduate of Harvard College, Harvard Medical School, and the Harvard Radiation Oncology Program.

Nathan Tonlaar, MD

Radiation Oncologist, Mercy Hospital

Dr. Nathan Tonlaar grew up in Ghana, West Africa. He received his medical degree from the University of Chicago in Chicago IL and did his internship and residency in Radiation Oncology at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak MI. He is a practicing general Radiation Oncologist at Mercy Hospital in Springfield MO with clinical interest in prostate, head and neck, breast, and lung malignancies. His research interests involve prostate, head  and neck, and breast cancer as well as global radiation oncology, especially on the African continent. He serves on the breast cancer steering committee at Mercy Hospital and has worked with the American College of Radiation Oncology and Radiating Hope in efforts to expand oncologic care in Africa.

Specialist in clinical oncology at Groote Schuur Hospital, Cape Town, South Africa with special interest in breast, urology and unknown primary cancer. Head of the palliative care oncology team and involved with development of the palliative care curriculum for oncology registrars.  Course presenter of the Access to Care programme. This course is provided to African oncologists, physicists and radiotherapists and aims to teach participants the necessary skills to implement 3DCRT radiotherapy.
